Session 1
Biosecurity Engagement in Akuse
Conducted in collaboration with the Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana (COA) and Virbac, this session focused on farm biosecurity practices, disease prevention, and management to improve productivity and sustainability across aquaculture farms.
The engagement highlighted practical farm-level actions, risk mitigation and farmer capacity development as part of the broader agenda to strengthen Ghana’s blue food supply chain.

Engagement with the University of Ghana
An engagement was held with the Marine and Fisheries Department at the University of Ghana to explore research collaboration, student engagement and knowledge sharing opportunities within the blue food sector.
The discussion identified pathways for stronger university-industry partnerships and the role of students in driving innovation across Ghana’s marine and aquaculture value chains.
